Account Manager, HydroForecast

Upstream Tech is a technology company that uses satellites and machine learning to help organizations manage and monitor natural resources. We are growing quickly and building out our business development team that connects partner organizations and customers to our services.
Specifically, we are looking for a talented team member to join our HydroForecast work in advancing the role of machine learning in hydrologic forecasts for renewable energy and the environment.
As a member of our Growth & Partnerships team, this individual will help ensure our HydroForecast customers are meeting their goals with our product, nurturing and managing the relationship from onboarding through renewal. You’ll manage relationships with our users, create processes for scaling customer support, assist the Product Manager with customer communications and developing user stories, and work with the sales team to foster expansion within an organization.
The right candidate is driven by our mission, has customer- or client-facing experience ideally in a customer success or account management role, and is self-motivated. We are seeking a team member who has the ability to work in a dynamic environment, has some knowledge of SaaS products, and a desire to work closely with a driven, remote team.
Be a HydroForecast expert and advocate!
Lead new customer onboarding: facilitate the transition process between the sales team and the product team, and implement new processes to support growth as we work with an increasing number of customers
Manage customer support requests and work closely with the internal team to respond to customers
For key accounts and enterprise customers, serve as the dedicated customer point of contact and develop a knowledge of their technical needs and organizational goals
Share responsibilities in renewal and expansion sales with existing customers
Scale our customer success and education strategy, such as through writing support documentation and organizing webinars, to creatively support a growing customer base
Work closely with the Product Manager to develop and communicate clear user stories that feed into the product development roadmap
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, environmental management, data science, computer science, engineering)
Technical knowledge in one or more of the following: hydropower, hydrology, natural sciences, energy markets, conservation
Experience working in a customer- or client-facing context
Two to five years of work experience
Demonstrated creative problem solving skills
High level of attention to detail and strong project management capabilities
Comfort with technology and experience using project or customer management software platforms
Strong written and verbal communication

Travel. We are looking for someone with flexibility to travel for meetings and conferences on an as-needed basis, not exceeding 10% of time.
