Opportunity

Upstream Tech is a climate tech software company enabling better decision-making around natural resource management. We have two software products, Lens and HydroForecast, and hundreds of customers. 

We are looking for an experienced product marketer to join our team and guide our product marketing strategy and execution for both products. In this role, you will develop go-to-market strategies, messaging, and positioning to drive product engagement. Depending on experience level, this role may either work alongside our marketing team, or lead it.

The right candidate is driven by our mission, has SaaS product marketing experience, has experience collaborating with and/or managing a cross-functional marketing team, and should demonstrate excellent independent work ethic and a desire to work closely with a driven, remote team.

Responsibilities

  • Guide creation and implementation of the marketing strategy for our software products and services.

  • Collaborate with product teams on the brand story and competitive positioning for Lens and HydroForecast. Identify key audience segments, establish product differentiators, and oversee the development of language that resonates with target audiences.

  • Lead the development of public product messaging and facilitate the creation of marketing assets to drive awareness and adoption in key markets. Oversee and assist marketing teammates with the production of content including blog resources, ebooks and case studies.  

  • Define and lead execution of go-to-market strategy for product and feature launches.

  • Coordinate with marketing teammates on planning and production of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Focus on market segmentation, audience analysis, and campaign objectives that will drive target growth goals.

  • Fluently convey the values of campaigns and facilitate effective collaboration between marketing and the rest of the Upstream team.

  • Contribute to company-wide marketing initiatives and branding.

  • Guide the growth of the marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Proven marketing track record and experience with scaling a small team, ideally for SaaS products

  • A history of owning, developing, and communicating long-term vision and goals that lead to marketing success

  • Familiarity with multiple marketing channels, including email, digital ads, organic search, and social

  • A growth mindsight and the ability to lead a team to achieve results

  • Familiarity with energy and environmental issues and enthusiasm for our environmental mission 

  • Experience with and comfort working with technology applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail

Remote restrictions

  • Workday must overlap by at least 5 hours with Denver, CO, USA
  • Must be a resident of United States
